Wise Temple’s eight-part series, “Jewish Values & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict” will be concluding on Sunday, April 19, with its final session, “Session 8.” This session, subtitled “Living with Competing Values” will bring this though-provoking learning series, rooted in the curriculum of the Shalom Hartman Institute, to a powerful close.

“Jewish Values & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict | Session #8” will, like previous classes, seek to foster a sense of shared Jewish peoplehood in the wake of October 7 by exploring the core values that shape a wide range of Jewish perspectives on Israel and the conflict. Participants will engage with thoughtful themes like justice, security, dignity, peoplehood and peace, while developing skills for respectful dialogue across difference.

This eight-part learning series has deeply analyzed how Israel has served as a unifying symbol across the world and has consistently emphasized thoughtful learning, honest engagement and the ability to hold complexity with care.

“Session 8” of “Jewish Values & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict” will be led by Senior Rabbi Neil Hirsch and last from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 19.
