Women of Wise will present a one-night-only concert featuring Grammy-nominated baritone Simon Barrad and coloratura soprano Rachel Kobernick at the Wise Center, offering an evening that blends Jewish classics, musical theatre favorites and more.
The performance comes on the heels of the duo’s acclaimed appearances in Fiddler on the Roof with Cincinnati Opera. They will be joined by local pianist Samuel Martin for the program.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with Havdalah followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. Guests are invited to remain after the performance for a dessert reception and meet-and-greet with the artists.
Barrad, known for his genre-crossing style, has performed at leading venues including the Metropolitan Opera and London’s Wigmore Hall, as well as major festivals such as the Ravinia Festival. A Fulbright scholar, he has also appeared widely across Europe and is recognized for his work in vocal jazz, earning multiple honors from DownBeat magazine.
Kobernick has drawn praise for both vocal power and agility, with recent roles including Marguerite in Faust and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. A 2025 finalist in the George and Nora London Foundation Competition, she continues to build a growing national profile with opera companies and orchestras across the country.
Reservations are requested by May 11, with sponsor tickets available through May 1.
