Starting on Friday, April 17, Mayerson JCC will be hosting an educational two-part class on self-care and mindfulness. At “Peaceful Moments: Self Care and Mindfulness,” participants will explore the importance of their well-being and having a regular mindfulness practice. In this class, you will learn how to feel more balanced, improve your mood and how to better look after yourself through mental acuity exercises, meditation, arts and crafts and journaling.
Mindfulness is known to help reduce stress, improve focus, ease anxiety and chronic pain and support overall health. When you learn the proper techniques of mindfulness, you can start to enjoy its lasting benefits, such as stronger relationships and better management of health conditions.
You may attend one or both sessions when you register for “Peaceful Moments: Self Care and Mindfulness.” The next session of this two-part class will be on Friday, April 24. Both classes will last from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
