On Wednesday, January 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Mayerson JCC 60 & Better program will be hosting a special discussion on the Ombudsmen, resident rights advocates for people who live in long-term care facilities. Such facilities include nursing homes and assisted living communities.
Ombudsmen can and will advocate directly on the behalf of any resident who needs help. In “ProSeniors Ombudsmen, Here for You!,” attendees will learn about all of the legal protections they’re entitled to and be given a step-by-step guide to help voice their concerns and request the changes they need. Resources for complaints and reporting will also be discussed at length.
Anyone who attends this event will have a better understanding of nursing homes and assisted living communities and be able to put what they learn to use. This event will be as informative as it is practical.
