The annual Under One Roof Sukkah Art Exhibit will be running from October 7th through the 23rd this year. The exhibit will be displayed in a temporary sukkah in the courtyard of the Mayerson JCC.
Sukkot is the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest. It also commemorates the 40 years the Israelites wandered in the desert after Sinai. Sukkot is the Hebrew word for the temporary structures built to honor the holiday.
During the exhibit’s display dates this fall, a variety of events will take place to celebrate community, art and conversation. You can play a part in the annual exhibit by being a part of the art, creating and submitting artwork designed by your organization, group or individually. If you have a great appreciation for your community and art, the Under One Roof Exhibit promises to be an exceptional occasion.
The theme of this year’s exhibit is unity, and the exhibit is made possible by Rockwern Charitable Foundation. The program is also funded in part by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati.
