Gabriel and Jon Rosen

On November 11, 2023, Jonathan Rosen married Gabriel Penina Kahan. They were married officially in Ohio in September by Rabbi Eric Slaton with only close family attending a private event.
However, the wedding was celebrated later in Puerto Vallarta in a private garden overlooking the ocean with 105 guests attending and one infant who behaved very well. The bride wore a dress from Kleinfeld, New York. The groom wore a dark charcoal suit. The fathers of the bride and groom did not wear ties.
The guests were treated to mariachi music, fireworks, and a photo booth to create memories. They were served a sumptuous dinner, and late-night churros and tacos, as well. Specially brewed Mexican coffee with cinnamon served in traditional clay pots gave energy to the guests, who danced until midnight. During the evening, the guests danced the hora and lifted the bride and groom on chairs into the air.
The officiant at the Puerto Vallarta wedding was a close family friend and physician, Dr. Adiel Asch, who re-created the Jewish wedding service by studying with his rabbi. Guests who attended were from Colombia, South America, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Grandmothers watched the wedding on zoom.
The bride and groom met while in college at Miami University. The parents of the bride, Cathy Ludwig and Steven Kahan, couldn’t be happier, as are Elana Rosen and Dr. Oscar Rosen, parents of the groom. Mazal tov to the young couple.
