Maurice (Maury) Dick, 95, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on April 22nd, 2023. Maury was born in Cincinnati to Rose and William Dick. He was married to his beloved wife, Erva (Meisel), for seventy two years. Maury graduated from Hughes High School and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII.

He worked for General Electric’s aircraft division in Evendale, owned Maury Hardware in Evanston, Avon Hardware in Avondale, and the Discount Quality Gas Station in Evanston. He served as VP of Sales for Fiberglass Evercoat in Blue Ash and then purchased the Dennis Tire Company in Walnut Hills.

Maury’s number one passion in life was his family. Family was everything to him; which explains why he named his boat “Four Sons.” For over fifty years, Maury, Erva, and their family enjoyed boating, swimming, skiing and relaxing together at the family cottage on Williamstown Lake in Dry Ridge, KY.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and owned numerous Honda Goldwings over the years. Remarkably, he rode his Goldwing until age 91 and then transitioned to a three wheeled “Trike” which he continued to ride in 2023.

He was a Mensch through and through and was loved by countless friends. He would (and did) help anyone in need.

Maury was predeceased by his siblings Sara Barishman, Edith Sherwin, Esther Swillinger, Irvin Dick and Benny Dick. He is survived by his beloved wife Erva, sons Gary (Michele), Scott (Debbie), Darryl (Bonnie), Kevin (Nancy), a very special sister-in-law (Michael Zwick), as well as his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and wonderful nieces and nephews. He is also survived by dear people in his life; Ellen Dick, Karen Stavermann, and Mike Brenner.

Services were held at Weil Kahn Funeral home on April 25th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Rockdale Temple, Jewish Federation, or Jewish Family Services would be appreciated.
