Blue Ash Nature Park
PJ Library and the Mayerson JCC are hosting a Rosh Hashanah celebration at Blue Ash Nature Park on Tuesday, October 1. The event is so popular that it has sold out. Attendees will be making apple nachos and Rosh Hashanah cards to mail to family and friends to celebrate a sweet new year. Those who have registered for the event will also take part in a tashlich ceremony. Tashlich, which translates to “casting off” is a ceremony wherein participants toss bread crumbs into flowing water to symbolize casting off the sins of the previous year. PJ Library and Mayerson JCC put on a robust schedule of events throughout the year. The events are very popular in the community, as indicated by the Rosh Hashanah event’s sold out status.
Those who missed out on registration for the Rosh Hashanah event need not fret, however. PJ Library and Mayerson JCC are offering Kabbalat Shabbat at Blue Ash Nature Park on Friday, September 27, at 5:30 p.m. The event is also in partnership with Northern Hills Synagogue. Attendees can meet at Shelter #2, the Sycamore Shelter. Those who would like to attend should bring a dairy dish to share.
PJ Library and Mayerson JCC are also offering a Pickleball night for Jewish dads in the community. On Wednesday, October 9, Jewish dads from all around Cincinnati can meet at Aces Pickleball Bar + Grill at 7:00 p.m. for dinner followed by some rousing games of pickleball. First time players and season pickleball paddlers are all invited to join. There is a registration fee for the evening. More information can be found on the Mayerson JCC website.
