On Thursday, December 11, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Mayerson JCC’s Theatre of the J will be putting on a lively, family-friendly production of “A Tree Called Aesop!,” a play by Ruth Landowne-Giordano. Giordano has been active in the performing arts scene since her childhood, and her wonderful play is set in the timeless world of, you guessed it, Aesop’s Fables!
Each classic tale from the iconic Aesop’s Fables will be brought to life on the Theatre at the J’s stage as a stand-alone story, while also being effortlessly woven together by an engaging narration, guiding the audience from one exciting adventure to the next.
This heart-warming and funny adaptation of Aesop’s Fables will not only sure to entertain people of all ages, but to impart lessons of kindness, honesty, perseverance and cleverness. “A Tree Called Aesop!” will surely be a meaningful experience for the actors and audiences alike.
