Simchat Torah on the Seven Seas

Submitted by Congregation Etz Chaim

Congregation Etz Chaim is known for doing Simchat Torah a little differently. Yes, of course we sing, dance and read from the Torah, but we also theme the evening and have shtick and food to correspond with each of the seven hakafot. We can assure you this celebration is not your parents’ Simchat Torah — in fact, this year’s theme is nautical in nature. So, join Congregation Etz Chaim on Saturday Night, October 7 at 6:30pm for Simchat Torah like you’ve never seen it before. Come on out Me Hearties and be ready with an Oy Vey & a Yo-Ho-Ho — It’s the jovial side of Judaism shared amongst honorable buccaneers. Themed attire is strongly encouraged, or you’ll walk the plank! This evening is fun for all ages with seven shiver me timber filled Hakafot & Torah Tie-ins Themed Food & Drinks — yes, we’ve got the RUM!! If you haven’t attended Simchat Torah before, or it’s been a while, just understand you are guaranteed to smile and have fun, so don’t miss out on this swashbucklin’ good time! Free to attend.
