Mayerson JCC is excited to welcome Jessica Bush as the new Director of the Early Childhood School.

Jessica joins the Mayerson JCC with a decade of expertise in early childhood education, including five years as Director of the Early Learning Center at the Trager Family JCC in Louisville. Jessica is a student of the Reggio Emilia Educational Approach and has trained in the JCCA Sheva Center’s early childhood framework.

She recently relocated to Northern Kentucky with her husband, Evan, and their two children, Jack and Millie. Jessica is eager to build upon the organization’s strong foundation and lead the program into its next chapter of excellence as Director of the Early Childhood School.

“My family and I are so pleased to join the Mayerson JCC,” she said. “We have already experienced a wonderful sense of belonging within this community, and I am deeply moved by the dedication of our educators. I look forward to elevating our child-centered curriculum and Jewish culture by prioritizing professional development and family partnership.”

As an advocate for child-centered learning, Jessica specializes in creating environments where curriculum and culture authentically reflect shared community and Jewish values, where inquiry is encouraged and educators continually reflect and grow, and where families are engaged partners in their children’s early childhood education journey.

Whitney Fisch, Chief Program Officer, said: “We are genuinely excited about this next chapter for the Early Childhood School at the JCC. Jessica brings deep experience from within the JCC movement, including her training with the JCCA Sheva Center, and a clear commitment to child-centered learning. She understands how to build environments where curiosity, care, and community are at the heart of everything, not only for children but for educators as well. Jessica is deeply invested in the growth and support of teachers, which is essential to creating classrooms where both children and adults can thrive. We are thrilled to have a leader who honors the strong foundation already in place and will help guide us forward with excellence and intention.”
