On Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, Pro Seniors celebrated Louise Roselle, J.D., as a 2024 “Senior Who Rocks” at their 10th annual event to challenge ageism. Louise and her fellow honorees revealed that we have much to contribute at every age. Pro Seniors honored Seniors Who Rock: Dot Christenson, former executive director of the Better Housing League; Louise Roselle, seasoned corporate attorney and volunteer helpline attorney for Pro Seniors; and, with nearly 40 years of service to CET and the Action Auction committee, retired teacher and community volunteer Linda Tache. Seniors Who Rock is Pro Seniors’ one-of-a-kind awards presentation honoring inspirational Ohio seniors who continue to impact the community. While recognizing these valuable and valued older Ohioans, Seniors Who Rock also raises essential funds to advance our mission. Each honoree shared a few words that inspire them and keep them motivated.
Louise Roselle has dedicated her legal life to helping people. When she began her career in 1972, there were not many women practicing law. She jumped right in at the newly formed Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, where she prepared air pollution control regulations before moving on to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency enforcing the Clean Air Act in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Louise is now retired from law firm work, but is not retired as a lawyer. She volunteers nearly ten hours each week on the Legal Helpline for Pro Seniors and recently retired from serving on the Cincinnati Bar Foundation Board.
