Dear Editor,
On Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, 300,000 Jews gathered together in what became the largest gathering of Jewish people in American History. This was nothing short of amazing — organized with a week’s notice, on a workday. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
We stood together as a kehila, a community, to make our voices heard. Free the hostages! End the Hamas reign of terror! Stop antisemitism!
Jews from all walks of life showed up. As you walked down the street, everyone greeted each other with “Am Yisrael Chai” instead of “hello.” We cried together, laughed together, felt hope together, prayed together. We were one nation. We showed the world on Tuesday that we are here, and that we aren’t going anywhere.
I only have one additional request, that our community stays this connected for generations to come.
