Cincy Journeys
Cincy Journeys is a grant program that enables hundreds of Jewish Cincinnati children, teens, and young adults to attend overnight Jewish camp or travel to Israel each year. These grants are not based on financial need.
Overnight Jewish Camp and Israel travel give our young community members the skills, experience, and desire to become tomorrow’s Jewish leaders.
Since 2000, more than two thousand Jewish young people from Cincinnati have traveled to Israel to develop stronger more personal connections with Israel and their Jewish heritage. Cincinnati holds the distinction of sending more Jewish youth per capita on these Israel travel programs than any other Jewish community in North America. Cincy Journeys is the most generous grants program in the country.
The program is a collaborative effort between the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati, which provides one hundred percent of the funding, and the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, which is responsible for marketing the program, vetting applications, and administering the grants.

Women Writing for (a) Change
For over thirty years, Women Writing for (a) Change® has provided a safe and non-competitive environment for individuals to develop their writing skills, cultivate their creativity and strengthen their voices. At WWf(a)C, our writers, whether first-timers or the more experienced, find community, connection and meaningful conversation within our writing circles.
We encourage writing as a process of self-discovery and self-expression — a celebration of the individual voice. Our classes provide a unique setting in which honoring each other’s words enriches participants’ lives.
Our Summer Camps use the art of writing and other modes of artistic expression to enhance self-esteem and build skills in creative self-expression. Programs are designed to help strengthen young people’s authentic voices, develop their ability to speak out through writing and direct interaction, and deepen their belief in their own creative intelligence.
