On Sunday, June 8th, Cincinnati Hadassah will host its 9th annual “Jon Boskind Memorial” Mahjong Tournament from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The location of the tournament will be made known upon registration.
Mahjong is a tile-based game much like dominoes. Players take turns drawing, discarding and playing tiles to create groups or “melds” in the center of the table. On account of these melds, USA Today compares the game to gin rummy. Mahjong cards describe all possible melds. For the Jon Boskind tournament, each player must provide their own 2025 Mahjong card.
The entry fee includes four rounds of gameplay (16 games), five raffle tickets, lunch and great prizes.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Cardiac Unit at Hadassah Hospital.
