Starting on Sunday, February 15, Mayerson JCC will kick off its 2026 Winter edition of “J Baby.” At this ongoing event, expecting mothers and their partners will have the chance to connect with a community of others parents expecting their first child. “J Baby” will include courses taught by certified professionals, pediatricians and doulas (non-medical professionals who offer emotional and physical support to parents before, during and after childbirth).
These professionals will inform the parents who attend this 5 week-long course on important topics like labor and delivery, breastfeeding and newborn safety. Some of the topics of this program will include a few of the subjects previously mentioned, like labor and delivery, in addition to lactation and Jewish life and ritual.
The pre-class social for “J Baby” falls on Sunday, February 15, and will last from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This social invites any expecting parents interested in attending “J Baby” to get to know the other parents attending this class before the learning and educational courses formally begin on Sunday, February 22.
Each new addition of “J Baby” after the first class on February 22 will occur on a Sunday and last from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The 5-part program (excluding the pre-class social) will run through the most of March.
Come to “J Baby” to share the beautiful experience of expecting your first child with others. This course offers attendees the perfect opportunity to make new connections and learn how to prepare for family life. Also, come to “J Baby” for the delicious dinners that are served at each session.
