On Sunday, October 26, from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m., the Wise Center will be hosting the fourth session in the “Israel’s Milestones and Their Meanings” series. Presented by Rabbi Zachary Goodman and based on material from the Shalom Institute, “Israel’s Milestones” is an 8-part series offering a thorough education in the history of Israel, primarily through studying pivotal events like the Balfour Declaration in 1917 and the Six-Day War in 1967.

The fourth session of “Israel’s Milestones” focuses on the highly contested territories known as the West Bank—biblically Judea and Samaria—and the idealogical, religious and political claims surrounding them. This session will explore how these lands have become a flashpoint in Israeli society and the global discourse.

For anyone wanting to better understand what shapes Israel’s history and Israeli identity, this session is a must. Also, for anyone fascinated by world history, this special event promises to be very interesting.
