Hildegard Hallo Kerman, of Cincinnati Ohio, died on December 14, 2023 at Judson Park in Cleveland, Ohio at age 95. Born to Anne and Carl Gotthelft, November 2, 1928 in Kassel, Germany. Hildy and her mother immigrated to the United States in 1937. Hildy graduated from Walnut Hills High School ’45 and the University of Cincinnati ’49. Hildy and David M. Kerman married June 17, 1950. Hildy initially worked in advertising art production, then as an advertising manager for Rollman’s Department Store in Cincinnati, and then as office manager for David’s medical practice in Montgomery for forty years. She volunteered at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center and Apple Tree Childcare Center, where she also served on the Board of Trustees. Hildy was a lifetime member of the Board of Trustees of the American Cancer Society of Cincinnati and as well as serving on the Board of Trustees of the Medical Alliance of the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati. Hildy and David founded the Kerman Family Fund for Parkinson’s Disease Research at the University of Cincinnati. Her beloved husband David predeceased her in 2021. Hildy and David lived in Montgomery, OH where David’s medical practice was located, then Indian Hill, OH, then Maineville, OH and finally Cleveland, OH. Hildy is survived by her children Mark (Marsha Mosely), of Chicago, IL, Dr. Karen Kerman (Dr. John Donoghue) of Providence, RI, Dr. Keith Kerman (Dr. Debra Leizman) of Cleveland, OH, and Simmie (Steven Aarons) of Washington, DC; nine grandchildren, Dr. Jacob Donoghue (Dr. Kathleen Koenigs), Langston Kerman (Nikki), Dr. Noah Donoghue (Beryl Lou), Dr. Hannah Kerman, Eve Kerman NP (Chase Wilson), Joshua Aarons, Dr. Sophia Kerman, Zoe Aarons and Brian Kerman; and two great grandchildren Kensington Kerman and Josephine Wilson.
