Harvey Joseph Skurow, age 83, born June 4, 1941, passed away after a long illness on June 9, 2024 in Camarillo, CA. Harvey was the son of Ben and Belle Skurow (obm) of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by his sister Barbara (Stanley obm) Weiss of Milwaukee, WI and brother Mo’o Kanaio, (formerly Stanley Skurow) of Maui, HI. Further survived by nephews David (Itta) Weiss of Brooklyn, NY, Elliot (Ida) Weiss, of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Dr. Nelson (Virginia) Weiss of Marina del Ray, CA; grandnieces Sarah Weiss and Mirah Weiss, and grandnephew Asher Weiss, and many cousins and friends. Harvey attended Woodward High School in Cincinnati, served in the U.S. Air Force at Oxnard, CA, from 1959-1962, and settled in Camarillo. He was a talented mechanic and artisan and an ardent fisherman. Harvey was well loved by all. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Rosa Contreras, his dedicated and loving caregiver of many years. Graveside services were held at Conejo Mountain Cemetery in Camarillo and officiated by Rabbi Joseph Muchnick of Chabad of Camarillo. In memory of Harvey, contributions can be made to Camarillo Community Gardens or Chabad of Camarillo.
