GERALD ALAN “JERRY” WALLACE, Gedalia ben Moshe, of Pomona, NY, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, age 79, was attended in his passing by his son, Brian (Judy) Wallace, and his grandsons Ilan, Efraim, Shimon, and Yosef, in Cincinnati, OH on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Also survived by his granddaughters Rose and Elle. Jerry was preceded in death in 2020 by his wife, Linda Jean, and by another grandson, Moshe, in 2002. He has a profoundly developmentally delayed son, Daniel, age 39, who is living in a charitable care home which Jerry and Linda helped create together with other parents for the benefit of their ID/DD children. The family thanks their dear friend and Jerry’s at-home caregiver Syreeta Brooks. They thank Rabbi Balk and all the care team of Hospice of Cincinnati. Graveside services were at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 officiated by Rabbi Ezra Goldschmiedt, at Kneseth Israel Cemetery, 5350 Sidney Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45238, arranged by Weil Kahn Funeral Home. Shiva will be observed at the Wallace residence, Monday through Sunday. Minchah-Ma’ariv will take place at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Shacharit will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday-Friday and on Sunday. NO FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the 60&Better Center located at the Mayerson JCC, 8485 Ridge Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45236, or the charity of one’s choice would be meaningful and appreciated by the family.
