Follow the yellow brick road to Congregation Etz Chaim this Purim

Submitted by Congregation Etz Chaim

With Chanukah now a cherished memory, we look forward to the joy and festivities of the month of Adar and Purim. While you might have previously celebrated with a carnival for kids, or costume parades… this year, treat yourself to something different — a Purim dinner theater experience at Congregation Etz Chaim.

The evening opens with full megillah reading skillfully read by: Hank Lerer, Chava Vidal, Audrey Ronis-Tobin, Victor Ronis-Tobin, Barbara Taggart-Milberg, Lynne Haber, and David Weil. Act two is a delicious themed dinner featuring five courses, drinks and décor all designed to set the stage for the one-of-a-kind Purim Shpiel performance.

This year’s musical “Very Vicked — Shushan, Oz and Beyond” features sing-along melodies from “Wicked,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and more and is an original creation of playwright Chaya Vidal. Starring: Sandy Baden, Adam Berger, Ethan Berger, Terry Brodof, Lauren Brodof, Sid Cohen, Michelle Fesman-Timmer, Gale Goldner, Rusty Goldner, Mitch Katz, Hank Lerer, Tracy Lumley, Barb Rosen, Russ Rosen, Barbara Taggart-Milberg, Stan Timmer. Accompanied by four talented musicians: Chris Harper, Dana Kolovson, Mitch Liberman, and Howard Suid. With a tech crew led by Linda Berger, Zig Main, Rochelle Steele, and artistic director: Rachel Gutbezahl.
