“Light House: Making My Home G-d’s Home” builds upon Discovery Hebrew School’s commitment to providing children with a personally meaningful journey of Jewish education. This comprehensive curriculum enables each child to deepen their understanding of their heritage in a meaningful and practical way that positively impacts their life.
Students at Discovery Hebrew School will embark on an interactive and captivating journey through the year, focusing on various Mitzvot through the lens of making Hashem (G-d) welcome in our world. Each lesson focuses on a way to make our homes a place where G-d is known. Topics covered include Shabbat, blessings, honoring parents, charity, and more aspects of daily Jewish life. Each lesson involves fun and exciting hands-on STEM activities and crafts, ensuring the engagement and enjoyment of every student.
Goldy Kalmanson, Director of Discovery Hebrew School, expressed her enthusiasm for the new curriculum, saying, “DHS is a place where the children of the Mason-area community not only learn about their Jewish heritage but also integrate the wisdom and beauty of Judaism in their daily lives. We are excited to see this new curriculum help empower another year of proud Jewish children!”
