Antisemitism and extremism are on the rise, coming from both ends of the political spectrum. Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, is a leading voice in the effort to combat hate on the national scene.
On Friday June 20th, Amy Spitalnick will speak from the bimah at Wise Temple, focusing on rising extremism and appropriate responses from our Jewish communities. Following services there will be a Shabbat dinner where Spitalnick will field questions and lead participants into deeper discussion around Judaism, antisemitism and democracy.
In April, Spitalnick stated on the “State of Belief” podcast, “We can’t have inclusive democracy without Jewish safety, and we can’t have Jewish safety without inclusive democracy.”
In a recent audit, the ADL noted that assaults on Jews were up 21% in 2024 compared to the previous year, with a total of 9,354 incidents of Jew-hatred.
