Barbara Wolf Altman was born in 1933 in Cincinnati. She studied dance from a young age and taught all types of dance and exercise throughout her life. She married Dr. Sidney Altman and had 41 years of a wonderful marriage. Barbara was a devoted mother to her four children. She loved hiking, camping, canoeing and skating with the family. She enjoyed entertaining and spending time with friends and family. Barbara was a great organizer and was the president of the PTA, a travel agent and took groups to Canyon Ranch for 30 years. She did volunteer work at Montgomery Mental Health Clinic and FoxChase Cancer Center. Barbara had boundless energy and a positive outlook on life. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sidney Altman, parents, Burnie and Anne Wolf and her brother, Richard Wolf (Mary Bert). She is survived by her children: Terri Ginsburg (Jeffrey Spoon), Marjie Graham (the late Patrick Graham), Stan Altman (Lisa), Barry Altman (Mirtha), grandchildren Ben Altman (Nina), Steffanie Altman (Nick Stoddard), Jacob Ginsburg (Amy), Noah Ginsburg (Eliana Kissner), Orli Ginsburg Firestein (Max), Jae-Jae Spoon (Chris Voci), Jeremy Spoon (Sarah Jovan), Ava Altman, Nika Altman and nine great-grandchildren: Asher, Leah, Giselle, Maayan, Raz, Moses, Neva, Graham and Aiden, sister in law Bertie Wolf, sister in law Sandra Sigal (Gerry) and beloved nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 6, 11:00 a.m., at Shalom Memorial Park, Pine & Byberry Roads in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Donations may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
