On Thursday, December 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wise Center’s Women of the Wise will be hosting a special speaking event and Q&A with author, motivational speaker and “American Israelite” columnist, Lorie Kleiner Eckert. At “An Evening with Lorie Kleiner Eckert,” the author will be interviewed, primarily about her latest book, and participate in a lively Q&A with the audience.
Eckert’s most recent book is “Chai on Life: Unpacking Everyday Wisdom: Stories of Vulnerability, Strength, and the Human Heart.” The book—her fifth—is a collection of 36 slice-of-life essays that offer powerful lessons in wisdom drawn from everyday experiences. The topics in her book range from belly fat to the singer Billy Joel.
“Chai on Life” is chock full of important life lessons filled with humor and heart. Much like her monthly column for “The American Israelite,” titled “Living and Learning,” the essays in Eckert’s book are relatable and an absolute joy to read.
Eckert has been a motional speaker for a decade and has taken part in a number of events such as the upcoming one on December 3 at the Wise Center. Come out to the Wise Center to hear about a great new book from an excellent author and possibly learn a few new things!
