Amberley Village will begin its demolition of the clubhouse on Amberley Green today, February 20. The project is funded primarily from grants from Hamilton County. According to a letter to Amberley Village residents from Scott F. Lahrmer, Village Manager, the cost of the project is set at $398,330. A Hamilton County Community Revitalization Grant totaling $290,999 has been secured, as well as $77,000 from the Hamilton County Development Building Grant. Amberley Village will cover the remaining $31,330.

It is estimated that the entire project will take six weeks. Fencing will be installed around the work area to ensure community safety. The demolition will include not only the clubhouse but the pool and cart storage space as well. Residents are warned that the project, though brief, may create some traffic disruptions in the area. After the demolition is completed the site will be hydroseeded. Residents may expect grass on the new lot by the middle of the summer.

Interested readers may track the development of the project on the Amberley Village website.
