The American Jewish Committee (AJC) will hold its Global Forum in Washington, D.C., Sunday, June 9 – Tuesday, June 11. Leaders from all over the world will convene in D.C. to address issues facing Jewish people in the United States, Israel, and all over the planet. The forum consists of plenary sessions, speakers, and break out sessions.
The opening plenary session will take place at 5:30 p.m., and will begin with a moment honoring those who have been lost since the attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023. Speakers from Canada, South America, and Africa will discuss the increase in antisemitism around the world.
Breakout sessions in the following days of the forum include topics such as the use of AI in antisemitism and Israel discourse, antiseptics in DEI initiatives, perspective on the upcoming presidential election, campus antisemitism, the global implications of October 7, and what the future looks like in a world after the Israel-Hamas war.
Advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill are also available for participants to attend.
Speakers in include Ariela Agosin, president of the Jewish Community of Chile, Franklin Foer, a staff writer for The Atlantic, Isaac Herzog, Israeli President, Representative Richie Torress, a Democratic member of Congress from New York, and many more.
