On Wednesday, May 29, the JCC will host a talk by author Adam Nimoy about his recent memoir.
Rabbi Daniel Bogard will moderate the discussion centered around Adam Nimoy’s relationship to Leonard Nimoy, his father, best known as Spock from Star Trek.
Adam Nimoy’s memoir explores how his father’s distance and quirks negatively affected their relationship. This broken relationship would also affect Adam later in life — specifically his marriage, parenting and sobriety. Adam recalls how these two Nimoy men would inescapably lead parallel lives marked by divorce and addiction.
