Outdoor living skills for kids
JKids at the Mayerson JCC is hosting an outdoor living skills program for children aged 5 to 8. Children will learn fire safety, shelter building, nature interpretation, animal ecology, emergency scenarios and more.
Weather permitting, these classes take place outdoors. Children should wear appropriate attire including closed-toed shoes. In the case of inclement weather, classes will move indoors. Parents should be aware that this program involves sharp tools and fire ignition materials.
Classes occur every Monday from March 10 to May 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The $150 registration fee provides all materials and access to all sessions. Visit the JCC website to register.

Theater games and activities
The JCC is hosting theatre night on March 19 at 5:30 p.m. Intended for ages 8 to 14, this JKids event promises to spark your child’s imagination through theatre games and improv exercises as they learn to move their body and explore different characters and voices. These activities will develop your child’s self-confidence as they find a safe place for creative expression, form friendships and find their footing in the arts community.
The cost is $20 for J members and $25 for the public.
Pickleball doubles tournament at JCC
The Mayerson JCC is hosting a doubles pickleball tournament on Sunday, March 16, supported by JActive, the JCC’s fitness and wellness program.
The tournament will have three divisions: competitive, recreation, and new player to ensure all skills levels can participate. Each team will enjoy four games in a round-robin format before competing for their division championship.

Players can arrive at 8 a.m. and play begins at 9 a.m. Make sure to bring you own paddle!
