Mitch Cohen grew up in Cincinnati, graduating from Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati. As a teenager, he worked for the Cincinnati Reds as their mascot, Mr. Red. He is an entrepreneur who started one of the early dot com companies in the year 2000. He created an application to create do-it-yourself websites that people still use today. He works at Adath Israel Congregation as their Director of Communications as well as their Bnai Mitzvah Teacher, Choir and Band Director and their High Holiday Cantor. He is also currently writing his first sci-fi novel. Forty one years ago, he married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Frankenstein. They have three children and a dog named Minnie.
