Aryeh and Nina Pridonoff with Ahuva, Sarah, and Yitzchok

Aryeh and Nina Pridonoff of Cincinnati (Golf Manor) are happy to announce the birth of a son, Yitzchok Meir, born on June 2, 2024. His loving sisters are Ahuva and Sarah Pridonoff. His grandparents are Elizabeth and Eugene Pridonoff of Cincinnati and Dr. Michael and Davida Siegal of Skokie, Illinois. Yitzchok’s bris was at CZE.

Yitzchok is named after Nina’s great-grandfather Yitzchok Reitman, who was one of the few shomer Shabbat Jews in Chicago in the 1920s. Nina’s grandmother, Ruth Siegal is one of his two daughters. Both daughters remain shomer Shabbat and married shomer Shabbat Jews. There are over 200 descendants from Yitzchok Reitman.

Yitzchok is also named for Davida’s father, Yitzchok Salk, in gratitude that he had the foresight to put away money for all his grandchildren to buy houses.

The baby is also named in memory of Jason Judis (Hebrew name David Tal Or) a student that Aryeh became close with when he worked (a couple jobs ago) in outreach for Kollel at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University. He met Jason at the first barbecue on campus. Jason went on to study at a Yeshivas Machon Shlomo in Jerusalem, then Shor Yoshuv in Far Rockaway, NY.

About a month before Pesach Jason began to have headaches. He went home to Toledo for a few tests. While walking with his mother at Costco, he had a seizure and tragically died at the young age of 27. His funeral was the Sunday before Passover 2024. Aryeh attended the funeral in Toledo with other members of the Cincinnati community who knew Jason well.

Through Jason’s tenure at UC, Aryeh and Nina became close to Jason’s parents. Yitzchok’s middle name, Meir, is taken from Or, meaning shine or illuminate. Jewish tradition discourages naming someone directly after a person who dies young, so that the same does not befall a new baby.

Walter Duckworth and Megan Solinger

Megan Solinger and Walter Duckworth announced their engagement following a Thanksgiving trip to St. Augustine, Florida in 2023 where Walter proposed with Megan’s maternal grandmother’s cherished engagement ring. Megan, daughter of Carol (Selonick) and the late Dr. Alan Solinger of Cincinnati, is the granddaughter of the late Mildred (Midge Joseph) and Edward Selonick, and the late Ruth and Frank Solinger, all from Cincinnati. Walter is the son of Mary and James Duckworth of Orlando. He has two daughters, Harper (9yo) and Wakely (11yo).

Megan, a graduate of Johns Hopkins with a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in public health, works remotely as a project manager for The Alliance for Fertility Preservation, a California-based non-profit. Walter is the Chief Operating Officer at American Audio Visual, a company specializing in nationwide live event support.

The couple first met two years ago in New Orleans when Megan was presenting at an oncology related conference. Walter went beyond his duties to assist Megan prior to her presentation, sparking a connection that led to a long-distance relationship between Orlando, Florida, where Walter lives, and Baltimore, Maryland, where Megan had resided for nearly 20 years. After a year of long-distance, Megan relocated to Orlando to be with Walter and his girls.

Megan and Walter share a passion for hosting gatherings and spending quality time with loved ones. They currently reside in Orlando with their 11-year-old King Charles Cavalier, Frankie, and recently welcomed a new Cavalier puppy, Grant into their home. They plan to wed on November 16, 2024, at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere, Florida, with Rabbi Richard Sarason officiating the ceremony and Megan’s mother contributing her artistic talents to the ketubah.

Their shared enthusiasm for family, community, and their individual career ambitions promises a vibrant future together.
