Dear Editor,
A pro Hamas antisemitic virus is sweeping through our nation’s universities. Violent student protests are deeply appalling. Enough is enough of bad behavior. Mob Rule can’t be tolerated.
We need to stop chaotic protests when laws, or rules or codes of conduct are broken by several tactics — arrests, prosecutions, fines, calling in the national guard to protect Jewish students, federal lawsuits against those individuals and universities who have interfered with Jewish students civil rights to attend college, expel and take away foreign student visas of those who are involved in violent protests and deport them, fire the profs who support Hamas, a terrorist organization and suspend citizen students who were arrested until they complete Holocaust training.
Seeing the videos of hate by a Columbia student activist who said “Zionists don’t deserve to live,” the takeover of university buildings, protestors attacking police officers and the taking down of the American flag and posting in its place the Palestine flag were the final straws for me. The images validated my perception since 2020 — Hamas is here. How ironic, for years major media has been telling us the danger is from White Supremacists. Most of the protest leaders don’t look like White Supremacists and many wear Hamas scarfs or headbands and cover their face with a mask.
While I have always been for peaceful protests by the right or left, when protesters turn violent and break laws/rules/codes of conducts, we need to hold them responsible. Public Safety is the main mission of federal/state/local governments.
University presidents have failed to deal with antisemitism that has been on campuses long before Oct. 7, 2023 as a result of DEI and Marxist indoctrination and funding of MidEast Studies by overseas nations who hate Israel/Jews/America. Some students were radicalized before they entered university. If university presidents can’t protect Jewish students, their public funding needs to be cut off.
Major media and our elected officials need to get real. These aren’t peaceful anti war protests as initially marketed; they are violent pro Hamas/anti Israel/anti Jew/anti American protests. It isn’t free speech when you intimidate and threaten Jewish students; it is criminal conduct.
Suggest major media investigate and report WHO (Foreign and Domestic) are funding Hamas Non Profits/NGOs and paying for the new tents at encampments, professional organizing coordinators, legal services, bail, transportation and other costs associated with these protests across this nation. It is obvious there are outside agitators at these protests. The uniformity and conformity of these protests makes me also wonder WHO are organizing them. Funding and supporting terrorist and anti Semitic organizations is disgusting and frightening.
When protestors say “Death to America,” “Death to the Jews,” “I am Hamas,” “Zionists don’t deserve to live,” Jews go back to Poland,” “Intifada,” “From the river to the sea,” the DOJ/FBI needs to investigate these threats. Our ancestors didn’t believe the words of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf.” I take protestors at their word; so should major media and our elected officials.
We who have read the Hamas Covenant realize their mission is to eliminate Israel and the 7 million Jews who live there. If they achieve that (G-d Forbid! Hamas will continue to slaughter Jews around the world. History has taught you can’t negotiate with evil. Let’s remember the Holocaust and the Oct. 7,2023 sneak attack/pogrom. “Never Again”
