It has been brought to my attention as the Publisher of The American Israelite that one of our columnists, Rabbi Gershon Avtzon, author of the “Lessons For Life From Life” column, has frequently used uncited material in his past columns.
This is an error on our part that the material was not cited. I state for you now that we should have cited the following sources for usage of their material: chabad.org, familysearch.org, the Fire and Rescue international website, the website of Frank Larose – Ohio Secretary of State, Ideastream public media, Konstantin Bikos, ohio.gov, the National Park Service website, Wikipedia and any and all material used but not cited in Rabbi Avtzon’s column.
We apologize for this error and offer this retraction.
We have gone over all these passages with the author and will be diligent in citing when his column is used once again.
