Since 1888, The Manischewitz Company has been known for its offerings of traditional Jewish foods and ingredients. Founded by Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz, the company’s origins began in a small matzo bakery in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was here that Rabbi Manischewitz discovered that the secret to automating matzo production was to make it square. Certified rabbis from the world over traveled to Cincinnati to witness Rabbi Manischewitz’s innovative matzo making machine. Today, boxes of his matzo line shelves in grocery stores everywhere.
According to the company’s website, “At Manischewitz, our goal has always been to provide the highest quality kosher products to families. We are proud to offer wholesome, traditional foods made from simple ingredients.”
Their current selection of products range from cooking ingredients like grapeseed oil and Matzo meal, to classic food and snacks like gefilte fish, egg noodles, and dried mixed fruits, to delicious desserts like macaroons in a variety of fun flavors like cookies ’n cream and rocky road. They also offer a wide range of baking mixes, including potato kugel mix, coffee cake and blueberry muffin mix (to name a few), and of course, Matzo ball mix.
In time for Passover, Manischewitz also has a wide range of Kosher for Passover options perfect for your holiday table. Some of these include traditional chicken broth for matzo ball soup, potato pancake mix, extra moist coffee cake mix and fudgey gooey brownie mix, Pistachio orange and double chocolate coated macaroons, and dark chocolate peppermint patties. All these products can be found on their website.
