The event is fun and family-friendly. Racers will start first. Walkers and families with strollers are encouraged to follow.
WHO: The Mayerson JCC will host the event. The J is a community center and fitness facility whose mission is to connect people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community.
WHEN: Sunday, November 5, 2023 | Race starts at 10 am
WHERE: Mayerson JCC | 8485 Ridge Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236
WHY: Proceeds from the 2023 Oy Vey 5K will support the Sports and Recreation programs of the Mayerson JCC. Given that the J’s mission is to connect people, sports programs are an excellent way for children and adults alike to foster relationships. By developing friendships on and off the field, people of all ages connect and create a more vibrant community in Cincinnati.
The J offers a wide variety of Sports and Recreation programs for people of all ages. All adults can participate in Pickleball, and men can play in seasonal Basketball and Softball Leagues. In fact, the Men’s Softball League, started in 1945, is the longest-running program at the J.
Kids of all ages can participate in seasonal sports leagues including baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, and archery. Youth sports are inclusive of children of all abilities, and sports schedules are supportive of Jewish holidays and observances.
