WHAT: The Mayerson JCC and Jewish Federation of Cincinnati will host a community-wide celebration commemorating the seventy fifth anniversary of the founding of the modern State of Israel. The day will feature a multicultural festival highlighting the diversity of Israel through hands-on experiences, food, art, games, and more. Popular Israeli drumming group Mayumana will conclude the festivities with a musical performance. Throughout the day, there will be several opportunities for attendees to engage in unique hands-on experiences with a visual artist and the drumming group Mayumana. The event is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend.
WHEN: Sunday, April 30, 2023 | 2–7pm
Mayumana Performance | 5:45pm
WHERE: Summit Park | 4335 Glendale Milford Road, Blue Ash, Ohio 45242
WHY: The event falls near the holiday of Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, which will be celebrated on the evening of April 25 through April 26 this year. It follows soon after Yom HaShoah, during which we remember the six million victims of the Holocaust and honor the survivors, and Yom HaZikaron, during which we honor the fallen soldiers and victims of terror who have given their lives in defense of the State of Israel. The event at Summit Park will commemorate the seventy fifth anniversary of the reading of the Declaration of Independence in Israel and its establishment as a modern state.
