Kurt Altman, 91, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 6th, 2023 shortly after contracting COVID-19. Kurt was born in Breslau, Germany to Meta (née Thorn) and Louis Altman. He was very happily married to his loving wife, Deanna (née Fogel), for over 64 years. Kurt graduated from Hughes High School and proudly served in the U.S. Coastguard as a radioman during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged to fall in love, raise his family and find great success as an accomplished business partner/co-owner of H. Wolf & Sons. He retired with homes in both Cincinnati and Florida to enjoy the good life playing tennis, golf and cards with countless friends, socializing with his amazing wife, and spending time with his adoring family. He was fit, agile and witty to the end; able to play competitive golf with men who could be his sons into March of this year. Kurt was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence; survived by Deanna, his beautiful daughters, Debra Altman Shindler and Amie Ewald, as well as his wonderful grandchildren, Megan S, Stefanie S, Alex S, Miles E and Owen E. A graveside service was held at 1:00 PM, April 11th at United Jewish Cemetery – Montgomery, 7885 Ivygate Ln, Montgomery, OH 45242. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Adath Israel Congregation would be appreciated.
